Brief Answer:
He has contracted cold and needs management properly!!!

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for consulting and your trust in HCM means a lot to me as a Physician.
I have completely reviewed your health query, and well realize all those concerns. Being your physician, I will take care all of them today and will extend my expertise to solve the problems.

He has contracted cold and due to that there is muscle stiffness, body aches and general malaise. May also feel fever so you need to check his body temperature regularly.

He needs to take a couple of days off of work and do complete rest for fast recovery and better outcome. He needs to remain hydrated and for that give him fluids more than before. keep a balanced healthy diet and rich in proteins (eggs, skimmed milk, seafood like salmon, eggs).

Ibuprofen is the drug of choice for such a patient. Keep giving him until he is totally fine. Plus a multivitamin with zinc in it daily after breakfast.

When he gets his next appointment with his primary care physician, ask the Doctor for his blood work for Thyroid profile and also to rule out any Autoimmune disease after careful physical examination in-person. He also needs a screening for diabetes mellitus.

Hope I answered all of your queries. Let me know if you have further clinical concerns or doubts. I will be more than happy to get back to you. Please don't forget to give 'Five star rating' (if agreed) to help me assist patients in a better way; and, please don't forget to click on 'Close This Discussion'.
