Brief Answer:
a 'stitch' is like a cramp.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, welcome to HCM, a 'stitch' is like a cramp. It can be due to sudden awkward movement or positions. Try gentle massage with any pain balm and if it does not improve, please show your doctor for a local examination.

Rarely, it can be due to deficiency of Calcium, sodium or vitamin E. These can be looked for later if needed.
