Question: All of a sudden I have been feeling very dizzy...by that I mean everything around me going in circles. This has me in a very scary mood. About 2 years ago vertigo I was affected by vertigo, but it quickly went away. Now the spinning has not gone away especially in the middle of the night . During the day everything is just fine. I have heard that it may be my ears.

Brief Answer:
Inner ear dysfunction.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

It is true that vertigo arise from ear dysfunction, more exactly from inner ear, or equilibrium apparatus dysfunction.

Conditions that may cause vertigo are Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, Ménière's disease etc.

It is necessary to be evaluated by an ENT Doctor who can order and appropriate tests to diagnose correctly your condition.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
