What Causes Sudden Drop Of Body Temperature And Cold Feeling All The Time?
Question: I am experiencing, what is for me, a low body temp of 96.6 - 96.8. I am staying cold despite having on a sweater and having the heat on in my office to the point where co-workers are complaining it is too hot. I just finished a round of antibiotics for an infection/inflammation of my throat right above my vocal cords. Could this be a continuation of this illness or possibly something else?

As you are afebrile and are experiencing inadequate warmth despite having sweater and a heater at your office, such a presentation demands that the thyroid function tests be done. A hypothyroid state can cause such symptoms. The temperature should be rechecked and any focus of infection should be looked for.
