Question : Ihave sudden deafness. One ear has come backa little but the other is completely deaf. XXXX

There can be many reasons for sudden hearing loss like any trauma or injury, any loud noise exposure? Any abrupt change in blood pressure?
Any history of nasal congestion or throat infection in the recent past?
You should check the batteries for the hearing aid you have been using.
Please tell me if you have any of the above stated symptoms.

I did not wear a hearing aid until this happened 3 weeks ago and I do not have any of the other symptons you mention. Any other ideas?

It is probably age related hearing loss as you have none of the stated symptoms. Please send me the audiometry report so that I can suggest you better.
Age related hearing loss may manifest anytime after 55 years of age. It has to be corrected by hearing aids only.
