Question: I am a 44 year old women. With extension medical history. Recently went to ER Doctor they said my abdominal wall was collapsed Due to over 30 surgery's on head back and abdomen.. My pancreas was calcifying. And liver had lesion from Open Laparotomy 7 months ago. I had Total Hysterectomy 18 years ago. I have lower left side pain in lower abdomen. I also have a broken LP Shunt, VP Shunt was Removed. And have had XXXXXXX Roth 1 and 2 and also Lap Band. Lap band was not from being over weight. To Fix and piece me together from holes, ulcer, AHUS, etc.. A I have Always been thin. I went from a size 27 to 32 in less than 3 months. I look 7 moths pregnant. But the last week lower left side pain is bad. Also In general my Adomin size and Pain. Also prior hernias. Can you help me? Thank-You! XXXXXXX XXXX

Increase in size of waist from 27 to 32 is something extra ordinary.Just metabolism i don't feel will cause this. Please pen down the medicines you are on and their doses and from how long are you taking each medicine.

Sudden increase in girth of waist can be a side effect of one of the medicines you are on.So before making any further comment i want to go through the details of your medicines.

I would also like you to have a ultra sound abdomen done to to rule out herniation or ascitis.

What i suspect is that you are prescribed corticosteroids by any of the speciality mentioned above.Central obesity is usually seen in patients taking steroids.


Please provide details.
