Question: I am experiencing sudden numbness in my outer right thigh. No pain, not pins and needles sensation. I can walk fine. I am just concerned with the sudden onset and the intensity of the numbness.

If you would have presented to me as an outpatient,I would have told you that the likely diagnosis in your case is 'meralgia paresthetica'.
Please get 'nerve conduction studies' done which may help in supporting the diagnosis.
Pregnancy,Obesity,Weight gain and tight fitting clothes are the factors which predispose to this condition.
Weight reduction and wearing loose clothes may help improve the symptoms.
