Question : what could be the cause of temporary numbness in the left fingertips ( index and pointer) at the same time as the left side of the lips?

                                    Brief Answer:
Likely to be TIA
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
The lips and hand are represented in the brain in nearby areas.
If there is a transient decrease of blood flow to that part of the brain, you can get numbness in the same area which would go away as the blood flow improves. This is known as TIA ( Transient Ischemic Attack). If you are not on Aspirin and have no contra indication for the same, it may be advisable to take 100 mg of enteric coated aspirin per day. If the symptom recurs, it would be better to see a neurologist and have yourself examined and investigated.
Do get back to me if you have further queries.
