Brief Answer:
Probably harmless condition.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your query and understand your concerns.

Headaches after severe straining for different reasons (in your case due to chocking), is related most probably to sudden increase of intracranial pressure.

In most cases this is a harmless condition and symptoms subside after a few days.

In rare cases, if there are other accompanying symptoms such vision problems, stiff neck, confusion, dysbalance, this condition may be related to subarachnoidal hemorrhage.

In this case, neurologic examination and brain imaging are needed to properly diagnose the condition.

If you didn't experienced other symptoms besides headaches, you have nothing to worry about.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
