default
Posted on Wed, 26 Aug 2015
Question: The last week I am having a sudden very sharp pain where my leg meets my hip, in my groan area. It feels close to the surface. The feeling is a sudden stabbing pain like a bee sting . It has happened about 8 times in the last few days. The area does not appear red or show an injury that I can see. The sting is intense and then burns for a few minutes after.

The problem started about 6 days ago. No recent or old trauma. The sting feeling is abrupt and intense, lasting about 10 seconds and then a burning sensation for a few minutes afterwards. The pain remains in just a 2 inch area where my leg meets the groin area.
It seems very sudden and rest or activity does not seem to have any effect. I am not on any medications and have no history of the illnesses you mention.

Brief Answer:
Most probably muscular spasm

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thank you for getting back with the answers. I have gone through them.

Yes, most probably this pain is because of muscular spasm. If i were your treating doctor then i would have advised following things:

- naproxen twice a day for 5 days.
- take hot water in a rubber bottle and put it at the site of pain. It will give soothing effect.
- avoid lifting heavy weight till you become healthy again.
- ask some family member to do oil massage on your back. It will also give soothing effect.

Hopefully you will observe improvement soon but If pain persists then visit hospital for workup & physiotherapy.

Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help if not then don't forget to close the discussion and rate it.
Wishing you good health !!
