Question : Hi. I was sleeping on my left side with my chin close to my left collar bone. I pressed down on my left collar bone and experienced a sharp apin in my left temple. I have also noticed that if I turn my head to the left and place my chin towards my collar bone, I then experience pain at the top of my left part of the head. Always when I turn my head to the left and down, and now if I depress my left collar bone with my fingers a sharp pain to the left temple. please help.

I have gone carefully through the mentioned details but the exact cause of the pain is not quite apparent. It could be that you are suffering from migraine assuming that the pain is one sided. Cervical spondylosis needs to be excluded. Improper posture during sleep could also have a role to play. The exact location of the pain as well as the associated factors need to be carefully corroborated and I would suggest that you visit a doctor and get yourself examined. In any case, taking Naproxen 500 mg one or two tablets together in full stomach as and when required should be able to provide you relief. Avoid stress. Your doctor could provide further suggestions after careful examination.
