Question : Hello, Dr XXXXXXX My mother complaining of difficulty in breathing since 3 days.Her Bp is normal, but she is feeling anxious al the day.We took her to hospital emergency room for 3 times nd doctors told nothing is abnormal.PLease suggest ,w hat should i do now?

Possible anxiety disorder?

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

As per your symptoms, the possibility of anxiety disorder is very high.

Since the Emergency room protocols are within the normal limits, the need for intensive care is very minimal.

All she require at the moment is a short course of oral anti anxiety pills for 2 weeks.

I generally prescribe oral pills of Alprazolam 0.5 mg for 2 weeks.Please check with your physician if he shares my view and if can prescribe them to you.
