What Causes Sudden Vomiting After Having Popcorn In Large Quantity?

Question: My son threw up after taking a nap. He ate a lot of popcorn at the movies and fell asleep on the way home. Is it normal to throw up like that or should I be concerned. He has had a stuffy nose the past couple of days.
