Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.
I read your query and understand your concerns.
Being a psychiatrist I know how difficult it is to share real concerns with mental health professional no matter how educated a patient may be. Formation of false memories is not something unusual and we all have some made up memories.
I think you should definitely inform him that what you are feeling and what is your current concerns. You need to tell him that I am really impressed how hard he is working fort your betterment and need to share more information.
Yes there is risk of some disappointment but this is not something unusual as we are trained in this way to understand the mental agony of the patient. Such self disclosure will probably bring more confidence for the key worker and he will work with more energy for your betterment. I do not think he will say he dose not like to see you again or something.
I hope this helps you.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.

There are opposite forces in our mind
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for reverting back to me.
Every person have two set of thoughts when he/she is ill. One set of thoughts tries to get rid of illness and another set tries to enjoy illness behavior and sick role. It is possible that forces keeping sick were more stronger during earlier times so you told him something which was not present.
Attachment with caregivers are very common in mental health. To be XXXXXXX I get undue invitations from my patients when they feel cared and your attitude to key person appears on the same line. Even if there is attachment keep it upto the professional boundaries as he is unlikely to respond any behavior which is beyond professional limits.
I hope this helps you further.
Thanks and regards.
