Brief Answer:
Just give it some more time.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!
Thank you for using HealthcareMagic.

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Is possible that you have got an bacterial infection .For this reason your doctor prescribe you antibiotics to treat the infection.
Since you start the antibiotic course yesterday ,you should give it some time to act.Wait for some more days .
If the swelling ,and redness doesn't improve or get worse then you should consult your treating doctors to see what is going on.

Meanwhile keep the hand in elevated position ,take NSAIDs (Ibuprofen) for the pain and swelling ,and continue taking the antibiotics.

Hope it was of help.
Let me know if you have any other question or doubt to clarify.I will be happy to assist you further.

Kind Regards!
