You might be having tongue Infection. please send me the picture of your tongue.
Any history of smoking or tobacco use?
Any history of diabetes?
What is your current thyroid status?

Had annual examination with complete thyroid profile on8/23/17 all okay but for abnormal ANA (of unclear etiology follow up scheduled).No history of diabetes or smoking
Would love to send a picture of my tongue but I don't know how to.
My symptoms -difficult swallowing are worse in the morning about 1-2 hours after taking my Synthroid (brand name). Hope to find ENT tomorrow for further evaluation in this unfamiliar location -on vacation

Synthyroid is prescribed for hypothyroidism. As your current thyroid status is normal, you should continue taking the prescribed dose.
