Question : Yes, I was stung by a hornet on my hand 2 days ago and my hand is vey swollen & itches like crazy. I have taken Benadryl and iced it. I also put tea tree oil on it.

Hi,

You have done the right thing by putting ice and Benadryl. Since there would be inflammation it is better use a tablet of Brufen or Naproxyn with the usual adult dose.

The swelling would be well taken care of with Brufen. You can continue to put Icing and Benadryl. I am not sure how effective is tea tree oil. Please make sure there is no break in the skin else it might get infected and you may need a course of oral antibiotic.
