Question : I dropped a phone charger from a distance on my Middle toe on my left foot. I know this is random as Hell but yet it hurt like hell the next day it was swollen and red. So I kept my foot up and stayed off it. This was two weeks ago and last night I splinted it with tape to the adjacent toe. I am currently in CA and am from WA state. Should I consult with a dr?

I appreciate your concern

The toe needs to be examined for swelling, erythema(redness), tenderness and mobility. An x ray should be done to rule out a fracture. NSAIDs can be prescribed if no evidence of fracture is found. You should remove the tape splinter as it can be counter productive. Keep the toe in its original position and visit an E.R near you for further management.
