Question : Hi Dr XXXXXXX heijebu.My father in law has fallen from bike 2 days back.He got rashes on knees,lt hand.Visited doctor and taking medication.But since yesterday he noticed a swelling around his left eye.Is it an emergency.Pls do the needful.thank you.

Peri orbital edema is secondary to trauma.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam,

Welcome to HCM,

I can understand your concerns.

Peri orbital edema is secondary to trauma.

I advise my patients with Antibiotics and Enzymatic anti inflammatory drugs like Tab.Chymoral forte to relieve edema for 3-5 days.

I advise you to get a MRI scan if there is any blurring of vision, intra ocular bleeding or redness 3-5 days after taking medication.

Avoid stress and anxiety.
