Question : My father recently went through a angioplasty procedure and 5 days after the procedure we noticed swelling aroing his ankle and feet, pls advise what is the reson

Brief Answer:
Two possibilities weak heart or medicines

Detailed Answer:
Considering within the limited information you have provided I can think of only two possibilities One is the blockages prior to treatment would have caused the weakness of heart which is manifesting as swelling. But in that case there should be some breathing difficulty and other symptoms. While other possibility is medicines especially if he has been started on am lifeline or other calcium channel blocker and also some auger medicines and pain killers can produce swelling. Please let me know his echo report and medicines he is on so that we can take it further
