Question : My son who is 8 years old is suffering from swelling around both eyes, slight swelling on forehead. Is it some sort of allergy? We went to eye specialist and after examining eyes he said no issues with eyes and sight. It may be a reaction of shampoo. Cause that was the only change which happened Frm daily routine.

Thanks for asking on this platform

I agree with your doctor that it might be an allergic reaction to the shampoo.
I would like to know if there is any redness and itching associated with the swelling as these would give a clue towards the allergic origin.
Here the primary management is avoidance of allergen.So avoid using the shampoo which has caused this.
Give him some oral antiallergic like cetrizine/fexofenadine and also antiallergic eye drop like oloptadine/azelastine after consulting your physician to get the relief.
