Question : 7 days after tooth extraction swelling is getting worse and have trouble swallowing

Seems like Infection..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns....

As per your complain it seems that you have got infection at the site of extraction leading to swelling and difficulty in swallowing is also due to pain and swelling..

As you are taking only Narco for pain relief and not taking any antibiotics post extraction, chances of infection further increases..

I would suggest you to consult your Dentist and get evaluated. Perhaps you need antibiotics like Augmentin and Metronidazole along with anti-inflammatory painkiller Ibuprofen. Narco may be taken at times when pain is severe.

In my opinion, you should not delay the consultation. An early treatment can check the spread of infection..

As of now you can continue taking Narco for pain relief, do warm saline gargles and do cool compresses over the swelling..
