Question : I'm having some swelling issues with my feet, ankles, and calf, left side more than right. It started Monday after standing for over 2 hours at my best friends wake. When I got home, they were alittle swollen but when I woke up Tuesday, my left side were real swollen and my right a bit swollen. About 8yrs ago I had plantar faciatis surgery(excuse spelling) don't know if it's related or something totally different. Any ideas?

High blood pressure or DVT can be the cause

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I have studied your case. Swelling in legs and feet after prolong standing is mostly due to high blood pressure. And as you are saying that it is after surgery so DVT can also be a cause. I have following suggestions for you.
1.Check your blood pressure. If it is high then you need to reduced salt intake. Also if it remains high then you need to start anti hypertension therapy.
2. Doppler examination can be done to check if you re having DVT.
3. Your blood albumin, urea level also needs to be checked.
