Question : I am taking 22 to 30 mg of Adderall and getting significant lower leg and ankle swelling. Also have gained two pounds unexpectedly.

Water retention?

Presence of lower leg and ankle swelling is common side effect of adderal due to its symapathomimetic properties. Presence of weight gain is probably edema of lower limb as adderal do not cause direct weight gain.

I think it will be appropriate to decrease the dose of adderal to stop having this side effect.
