Question : My lower right leg,ankle and foot swell every day....and by evening is painful. What could this indicate?

Pedal edema (the swelling that you have described) can be due to a number of causes:
* It can be due to raised blood pressure (or sometime blood pressure medication). You need to get your blood pressure checked.
* It could be due to heart problems when the heart is unable to pump adequately.
* It could be due to kidney problems when the kidney is unable to filter out the water adequately.
* It can have association with diabetes.
* It can be due to problems in lymphatic drainage.

Whatever be the cause, you need to visit a doctor and get yourself properly evaluated.
