Posted on Fri, 18 Aug 2017
Question: In my left hand, small corner finger(baby finger) have swelling from last 2 days near to nail.
Its very paining when somebody touch on it. I am also able to see a dark black spot on the part which is just touching to the nail. I am also sure my hand does not hit anywhere.
I have no clue what happened with my hand. Kindly suggest as its very paining.

I am not able to send the pic of my hand as i did not get any place where i can attached.

Brief Answer:
It could be Paronychia.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
As per your description,it looks like Acute Paronychia which is the commonest infection of hands.
You can attach the pic in the REPORTS section.
If the pus is collected,a small incision is given over the most prominent part of the swelling and the pus has to be drained. It has to be followed by Oral Antibiotics and anti inflammatory tablet.
Please consult your doctor or go to ER ,get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.
Nothing to worry.
Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions,I will clarify further.
Wish you good health and speedy recovery.
Regards
