Question : I am just recovering from a bout of flu or just a cold, have been given antibiotics (Cefaclor-GA) by my local doctor. My upper eyelids have now swollen up. Is this a allergic reaction to the antibiotic. If so what can I do about it?

Having your upper eyelids swollen up might be a sign of allergic reaction to this antibiotic. Can you please upload a photo for better judgment? I really appreciate it!

I suggest to stop taking this antibiotic for a couple of days and to apply cold compresses to the swollen eyelids and see if any change.

If no improvement or in case the symptoms will be aggravating, I highly advise to consult with your doctor.
