Brief Answer:
Should not be a problem unless it is in both ankles.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Sir,
Was the stent put in SFA?
I hope there is no pain on walking or at rest.
As long as that is not there it should not be a problem.
Mild swelling can be expected after stenting due to reperfusion of the limb.
If the swelling is in both ankles, it could be due to effects of contrast on kidney. In that case, you should drink a lot of water and probably get a kidney function tests done(Urea and Creatinine).
Otherwise there should be no problem.
Please continue the medicines without stopping.
If there is any pain at any time please consult back with your Vascular Surgeon. At our Vascular Center, we call patients every month for examining pulses and then Color Doppler checking three monthly.
Do let me know if I can resolve any other queries.
Take care,

Brief Answer:
Do not worry. Keep limb elevated.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
When is your check up due?
I suggest just keep your limbs elevated above your heart level while lying down for a week and you should be alright.
If any pain starts or the discomfort increases then please get yourself checked for stent patency by a Color Doppler test of the SFA.
Please continue the medicines.
Take care.
