default
Posted on Tue, 12 May 2015
Question: My wife has justo shown me me that she has noted that the veins in her wrist are swollen.
I am a bit worried about it but she does not want to have it checked out at this time.
She is 59, not over weight, has been healthy to date, does not smoke.

Brief Answer:
Please get it examined or upload a Photo.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Venous swelling usually occurs in the lower limbs and rarely in upper limbs.
Since when is the problem?
It would be best to get examined by a Surgeon as it is very difficult for me to say without seeing the limb. You could send us a Photo of the wrist or limb affected so I could get a better idea as to what is wrong, since she does not want to get it checked up.
I could then be able to help you whether she needs any treatment for it or not.
Also do let us know whether she has been treated for any diseases or whether she is on any medication for any diseases.
I would look forward to the photograph.
Take care,
