Question : My 7month old swung back and smacked his head on my wood floor about a week ago, he cried a few minutes and then was fine, he developed a huge soft goose egg on his head but has been happy and normal despite the bump, it is now getting smaller everyday and he's had a very slight cough but fine none the less, and the bump feels a bit sunken but since its still a bit swollen its hard for me to tell, his behavior is happy and only spit up once like a normal infant. I am worried I should have or still should take him in, I based my decision to not take him by his behavior and I just hope I made the correct one!
Brief Answer:
you are probably right
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to health care magic.
If the baby is otherwise active and playful and if you do not notice any deviations from his normal behavior, there is no need for neurological imaging.
However even at the slightest abnormal behaviour , do take him for a complete evaluation
I think you have made the correct decision so far.
Wishing him good health
