Question : 1 week ago i stubbed my 2 toes next to the pinkie. the top of my foot is swollen where the toes meet the foot. (like i rammed the toes into the foot) i couldn't put a shoe on for two days so i rested it. most swelling went down, but one toe is very sensitive if it bends up and the top of my foot near the toe is still a little swollen and hurts. if im on my feet too long (shopping) then it hurts all over again and swells some. Do i need x-rays? thank you

Brief Answer:
Fracture seems quiet likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

With that nature of injury and current symptoms, a small fracture seems very likely.

You should get a xray done.

Try oral analgesics and local ice application. Limit weight bearing till then and avoid any excess physical activity.

Such fractures do heal well, only concern is with fracture involving any small joint.

Hope this helps. Please ask if there are doubts.Regards.
