Question : This morning I woke up to swelling in my right arm just above the wrist. It itches and burns and is warm to the touch. Yesterday I had several itchy bumps on that arm that looked like mosquito bites. I am not aware of being bitten and they came up suddenly at the same time. Should I be concerned?

Brief Answer:
Allergic reaction

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query.
Probably you have developed allergic contact dermatitis.
I treat such cases with a mild topical steroid cream like fluticasone to be applied twice daily for a week and antihistamine tablet to reduce itch.
These are safe and effective and usually available over the counter.
You can try this.
If possible upload a photograph of the involved area.
This will help me in giving a closer diagnosis.
Waiting for your response.
Thank you.
