Brief Answer:
it is likely to be Tinnitus
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query.
1. The sound is known as tinnitus.
2. The most common causes after swimming would be earwax, ear infection or a small perforation.
3. The best way forward would be to get your ear examined if this does not subside within 48 to 72 hours.
4. This is especially important as you have a history of ear problems.
I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.
Regards.
