What Causes Swollen Ankles After Taking Oral Predazone?

Question : I have been taking oral predazone as well a puffer called Spativa both of which say joint or ankle swelling are symtoms, my ankles are both swolllen, what should i do?

Hi XXXX!

Yes the swollen ankles may be a side effect of predazone use, but before going to conclusion I recommend to exclude other causes especially:
1. Heart problems (ECG, ECHO)
2. Renal disease (BUN, Creatinine, abdominal ECHO)
3. Reumatoid Arthritis (blood analysis: rheumatoid factor, ANA, AMA, Fibrinogene ect).

If all this causes are excluded than swollen ankle are caused by predazone use.
