Question : My husband slipped on the ice and broke his angle 5 months ago. He has limped and it is swollen still. He has a red scabby area where the the skin is cracked and brokered. I am very worried about him, what should he do? Is it serious?

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. As his ankle is still swollen and there is area of broken skin which is still scabed so I think you should get it x Ray and visit an orthopaedic surgeon. He can take analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Elevation and physiotherapy will be helpful. Icing is helpful. Vitamins B and C help in recovery.
