As the swelling over fingers, is painless and that rules out the inflammatory causes for the swelling. In this instance, I would want to exclude cardiac cause such as right heart failure as a priority. You may require a ECG test and an echocardiography. The earache may be from congestion of eustachian tube, ear infection, middle ear fluid accumulation.
