Question: I am 28 years old i have a swollen gland under jaw in my neck on the left side only. Im not sure if i have a sore throat or its the swollen gland making it appear sore. This is the second day. I have had a lack of sleep in the 3 days from going out and drinking. I also have a tooth that i had a root canal done and thw crown broke and has been open foe some time and now has been hurting as well. Please let me know

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

Your history is so self-explanatory.
I hope the tooth problem is on the same side.
Obviously the infected root of the tooth gives rise to lymph node under the jaw-line.
There can very well be concurrent sore throat. Sore throat does not cause lymph nodes to swell unless there is an active infection.

Get a Proper dose of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines in consultation
with your Doctor or Dentist preferably. You need the Dentist to look into the problem and get treated accordingly.

Do not stop medicines till the problem is cured.
