Detailed Answer:
Hello,
This needs to be evaluated. There are many causes and most of the causes are not worrisome. Causes includes increased salt intake, low hemoglobin, low protein levels in the blood, heart, liver or kidney disease.
So you should get first your routine tests done like complete hemogram, liver and kidney function tests, which will give some clues regarding diagnosis. Also, you may need echocardiography after these investigations.
In treatment, you should try to restrict salt intake and also decrease fluids like water and liquids intake if possible. Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.

1st time that happened that's why I was curious. Woke up the next day and my chicken legs were back .see my regular DR every 3 Mo. that includes blood work and nothing seemed out of norm, I did walk 9 holes of golf Tues. does over exercise cause this? The weather was 45degrees and windy.

my dr is a cardiologist and insists an echo every year, and didn't have any concerns in dec.. 2016 . blood preasure hovers around 135/74 most of the time

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,

Yes, if your basic work up is negative then it's probably due to excessive unaccustomed activities and associated electrolytes imbalances. Then you should gradually build up your exercises on day to day basis.

No need to worry about it as major causes of concern are already ruled out.

All the best.
