Brief Answer:
Investigations as symptoms are for 7 weeks...

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read the history and understood the problems.

To recapitulate: Male /63 - symptoms for 7 weeks - (quite a long time) - Swollen lymph nodes in the neck - sore throat - ''fatigue'' - feel dizzy on exertion - on antibiotics for 5 days - no change.

7 weeks is a long to have symptoms.
I would advise the following in such a situation:
Investigations:
Blood- CBC, Sugar
Urine and stool as a routine.
Ultrasonography of the neck and guided FNAC (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology)

This may give a probable diagnosis, which is the most important part.
Please continue the medical management as must have been advised by your Doctor. Also ask for check up of the throat as you have sore throat also.

I hope this answer helps you to get an early diagnosis and proper treatment.
Please feel free to ask for more relevant questions or if you eel that there is a gap-of-communication.

just had my test come back not related to this problem just routine I was out of range on wbc 3.4 giga/l and neutrophils 1.7 other than that my occult blood from stool is normal range36 ng/ml and my urinalysis is normal and in range all other parts of hematology are within range also my differential my general chemistry is all normal my throid function is 3.5 mu/l in range.could I possibly just have virus that is just hanging around as I am able to go to work, but cannot train in the gymn also with 5 days left on antibiotics could they still work if it is an infection. If I do not feel better after my antibiotics are finished I will go to my doctor and see what I can do from here

Brief Answer:
Antibiotic can help if it is an infection - consult your Doctor please

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.
Noted the reports you have provided. Yes, this can be a virus if it is hanging around. It might have probably not helped by antibiotic due to this reason.
You are able to go to work but can not train in the Gym.
The antibiotics may not help after 5 days of course. May be you have to have changed antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicine like ibuprofen.

But it is difficult to believe that virus can make you suffer for so long.

Reduced WBC count and Neutrophils can be due to a viral infection as well as due to Enteric infection. Rest of the reports are normal. It is better to get this

This is a good decision to visit the Doctor and get the remaining investigations and clinical judgment if there is no relief within 5 days.

I hope this answer helps you.

Brief Answer:
Thanks for feedback - needs investigations

Detailed Answer:
Thanks you so much for your nice feedback.
With the history of changing size of the nodes, feeling sick, weak and nauseated without any fever in the initial period, your nature of work, all are suggestive for a need to have proper clinical evaluation and investigations as suggested.
Read the list of medicines you have been taking - Plavix, Crestor, Buporion, testosterone, aspirin and Coverseyl plus, I do not think are related to the present problem under discussion.
