Question : Hi,I have done something to my left leg behind my knee.the muscle is swolent about 1inch wide and about3 inches long,right in the middle of my leh I can put no weight on the leg without severe pain. I cannot lift the leg without severe pain either. However when IAm in a sitting position with the knee bent there is no pain at all. ice helps a little. I woke up Sunday morning with the problem and have no idea what happened.Can you advise some thing to help with the pain?

There is possibility of deep vein thrombosis leading to muscle swelling.
I will advise you clinical examination and further investigation like colour doppler.
Till time you can continue ice fomentation and alternatively warm fomentation.
