Question : My 26 year daughter had a swollen nose this morning. We thought it was hay fever but she is now running a temperature, feels achy, tired and feverish. She has diarrhoea as well.

The symptoms are suggestive of a viral infection.
The treatment is symptomatic. She can be given paracetamol, nasal decongestant, antihistamine and oral rehydration fluid.
