What Causes Swollen Right Foot After 10 Year History Of CAD?

Question: Swollen right foot. 10 year history of CAD. Quintuplet by-pass 3 years ago. Age 60. Recently retired and am not as active as I used to be. No pain. Can walk fine. Left foot normal; no sweeling. I am going to have an appointment with Cardiologist Wednessday. Onset; four week. Epson salt soaks do nothing.

It is most unlikely to have any relation to the heart.
Systemic causes – (heart is one / liver, kidney, low protein are some others) – lead to swelling on both sides.

Unilateral (one side) swelling points to a local cause. We may have to rule out clot or insufficiency of deep veins (varicose or incompetent valves). A Doppler study and blood test can exclude these… and is done in most ERs…

I am inclined to think it is most likely a problem from foot…
Appropriate treatment demands accurate diagnosis / And that demands examination; probably investigation too; GET EXAMINED
The treating doctor alone could conclude better based on total clinical picture…
