Brief Answer:
viral infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal. I have read your query. I think I would be able to help you. The symptoms of the query are quite suggestive of a possible viral infection of the facial nerves. The virus could be easily spread. If it involves the nerves, symptoms of tingling and numbness are possible. Viral infection itself mat cause the eruptions and pus drainage you said happens.

I usually suggest a acyclovir course to my patients after a facial ncv. However, since the side effect profile is high, and since acyclovir us a prescription drug I think it would be good to meet the dermatologist in your area.

I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck. Dr Mittal.
