Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
The tooth removal some times is associated with fever - it is normal response of the body. Nothing to be panic. You can take a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin and antipyretic like paracetamol.

My dentist gave me Clyndamycinand said that it may take a few days before I feel better. Does that sound correct to you?

Brief Answer:
yes sounds correct, continue the medication

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your reply. Yes you can take a course of antibiotics preferably a combination of amoxicillin and metronidazole (if you are not allergic). If you have already started with clindamycin then continue it for a course of 5 days. What your dentist has done is right thing only. Nothing to worry you will be fine in 3 days time
I hope I have answered your query. Take care.
