My Opinion-
Tender and sensitive nipples, is the result of post-surgical stress ,which lead to testes hypofunction with low testosterone-male sex hormone levels and simultaneous dominance of estrogen(female sex hormone) levels due to increased production of estrogen from your adrenal glands,as a result of increased surgical body stress.

So its the estrogen(Female sex hormone) hormone dominance in post-surgical period- which lead to Gynecomastia from proliferation of male breast tissue, in your case.And this hypertrophic activity in your male breasts, lead to tender and sensitive nipples due to increased breast tissue mass in the given male breast areas.
From the given facts from You, it seems that this change in you, took almost 6 weeks from 26/4/16,to express this hormonal change as the enlarged male breast in your case.

Dear In the absence of more information about the nature of surgery and amount of surgical stress sustained by your body currently,it would be difficult for Me to reply on this query.So I can not comment and predict affirmatively as to how long the condition would persist in the form of sensitive nipples.
