What Causes Tenderness On Upper Left Cheek And Numbness In Lips And Teeth?

Question: Tenderness on the upper left cheek starting at the nose and going under the eye was tender to the touch, then starting at the left front tooth three teeth got a numbing sensation, then the lip on that side became numb, then a stinging or burning sensation in the lip comes and goes. Went to dentist received antibiotics after one week had a reaction, went back and was referred to an Endodontics Doctor in which an old silver point root canal had to be retreated and have been on a different antibiotic for 4 days. The lip continues to be numb moving up the cheek and the cheekbone area is still tender to touch also burning and stinging in lip comes and goes. I am concerned that all of the symptoms may not be related to the tooth situation.
