Question : I can feel my hip "popping" in and out of joint. This is causing me pain down my leg and has caused me to alter the way I walk, bringing more discomfort to knee area. The pain is located worst in interior area of thigh.
I have joined gym thinkiing I can work my way out of it, but after 3 weeks, it's not happening. Naproxen helps, but it's not where I need to go.

                                    Brief Answer:
Further evaluation by orthopedist is needed...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have gone through your medical history and I think you should get your hip checked by an orthopedist. Further X-ray of the hip joint is needed to evaluate its structure and to decide on the best treatment.
Until you see an orthopedist, I advise not to do gym. Instead, keep your hip relaxed without any activity until orthopedist's advice.
You can apply warm clothing to the pain area together with using oral pain-killers.
Hope it helped! Let me know if you have further queries!

It's working against you....
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Thank you for following up.
Unfortunately, yes, I do think that driving a truck short distances while having pain due to feeling your hip "popping" in and out of joint is working against you.
You should keep your hip at rest until further evaluation by an orthopedist.
All the best!
