Brief Answer:
It may indicate infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
Protein along with WBC in urine examination may indicate towards Urinary Tract Infection (UTI).
It will be helpful if attatch the reports for further evaluation.
I would also advise that give another sample of urine for Culture and Sensitivity test.
Ask her to drink lots of water daily. Also record her temperature daily.
Paracetamol 500 mg can be taken if fever is present. Reports of the culture and sensitivity test along with a clinical evaluation by your doctor will help in adding antibiotic if needed.
I hope this is helpful to you. If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Regards. Thanks.

thanks for the answer - she has no symptoms of UTI, she does take meds for migraine, could that impact the result? In light of the no symptoms could it still be a UTI?

Doc has said she should do another test

Brief Answer:
Mild UTI can be asymptomatic.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for providing more information.
Mild UTI can be asymptomatic. Therefore your doctor has advised for a second test. A culture and sensitivity test will help in confirming.
Migraine medicines will not affect the results but an antibiotic can affect the results.
I hope this answers your query. If you have any further doubts, please mention.
Regards.

thanks - last question.

Could an STD such as gonorrhea cause a mild STI as you described?

Would that be consistent with the findings?

Answered by Dr. Dr. R.A. SINGH (2 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Findings are suggestive of UTI.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Gonorrhea in females commonly causes vaginal discharge and pelvic pain. Since you have not mentioned any such symptoms, gonorrhea seems unlikely.
Thanks.
