bacterial or viral infection involving scalp.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have evaluated query for your daughter with all attached images here.
* As per the picture, it is a sequel of bacterial or viral infection involving the
scalp skin.
My recommendations at present
- Keep the part clean with antiseptic liquid and dry.
- Clotrimazole ( 1 % ) dusting powder to be applied 3 times a day.
( As Neosporin will make the area sticky with perspiration in this humid
environment ).
- In our clinic, we recommend an antibiotic of macrolide group as
azithromycin or else, which requires prescription of your pediatrician.
- Anti inflammatory action of syrup ibuprofen will take care of underlying
pain, burning or low grade fever.
- Keep regular check over the size of the lesions, fever if any by
thermometer.
- Check that she does not itch the area, which can make it spread to
surrounding areas.
- Maintain hydration with plenty of liquids.
- Avoid exposure to excess heat.
Follow up recommended after 3 days or early as per the requirement.
Wish her fine recovery.
Take care.
