                                            Question : Hello Doctor,
I am M/30. On 12th XXXXXXX i started swimming in a public pool, and because of it i got throat infection. On 22nd XXXXXXX my throat irritation went away but i started secreting too much phlegm with little cough. On 25th XXXXXXX along with the previous symptoms i started having blocked nostrils (not running nose). And now (since last night) I am having a little headache, and a very minor back -pain. All this while i never had any fever, but today (right now as i am writing) my temperature is 99.8 C.
What will be your diagnosis and prescription?
Many thanks!

                                    Brief Answer:
Temperature is not high
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You should have certainly contracted a swimmer's infection. The symptoms are mild and does not necessarily require an antibiotic. The source is obviously the pool water into the ears, nose and throat.
I suggest you to rest for couple of days, take Syrup BRICAREX, 10ml after meal thrice a day for three days. Tab CETZINE 10mg, twice a day for one day ( it causes sleepiness so do not drive) and Tab BRUFEN 400mg thrice a day for one day. All of them are prescription medications.
Hope this helps
